Anti-Dumping Commission of Australia has announced that it has initiated a review of the antidumping duty on zinc coated galvanized steel from China, India, South Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan and Vietnam and a review of antidumping duty on aluminum zinc coated steel from China.
Steel products that will be reviewed are flat rolled products of iron and non-alloy steel, plated or coated with zinc and flat rolled iron or steel products containing alloys, plated or coated with zinc from China, Korea and Taiwan; and flat rolled iron and steel products (whether or not containing alloys) that are plated or coated with zinc exported to Australia from India, Malaysia and Vietnam.
Under these reviews, the Commission will examine whether the factors relevant to the implementation of antidumping duties have changed.
Current antidumping duty rates on zinc galvanized steel stand between 6.7-43.4 percent for Chinese firms, between 2.4-28.2 percent for Taiwanese firms, between 2.4-13.7 percent for South Korean firms, between 7.6-14.3 percent for Indian firms, between 14.5-16.5 percent for Malaysian firms and between 8.4-14.2 percent for Vietnamese firms.
Meanwhile, current antidumping duty rates on aluminum zinc coated steel stand between 9.5-53.2 percent for Chinese firms.
