The Antidumping Commission of Australia has announced that it has initiated a review of antidumping duties on certain hollow structural sections from Thailand. The antidumping duties currently implemented are due to expire on August 18, 2020.

The commission will analyze the period from October 1, 2018 to September 30, 2019 for its inquiry to determine whether the antidumping duty on the mentioned products should remain unaltered, cease to apply to a particular exporter or to a particular kind of goods, or expire on the specified expiry date, August 18, 2020.

The products subject to the inquiry currently fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7306.30.00, 7306.50.00, 7306.61.00, 7306.69.00 and 7306.90.00.

Accordingly, the current duty ranges rate between 0.7 percent and 8.7 percent for Thai exporters and were initially imposed on August 19, 2015.

The investigation followed an application made by Australian steel pipe producer Austube Mills Pty Ltd (ATM) representing the Australian industry.
