Argentinian crude steel production rises 19 percent in December

Argentinian crude steel production in December increased 19 percent, year-over-year, but declined 0.7 percent, month-over-month, to 388,200 mt, said local steel association, Camara Argentina del Acero (CAA).

Argentinian hot rolled finished steel production in December rose 35.3 percent, year-over-year, and 3 percent, month-over-month, to 403,600 mt. Cold rolled flat steel output in December was 126,500 mt, 37.6 percent up, year-over-year, but 7.2 percent down, month-over-month.

As for the full-year of 2020, Argentinian crude steel production fell 21.4 percent, year-over-year, to 3.65 million mt. Hot rolled finished steel output in 2020 reached 3.46 million mt, 18.7 percent down, year-over-year. Cold rolled flat steel production in the full-year of 2020 rose 3.8 percent, year-over-year, to 1.19 million mt.
