Argentinian crude steel output in January increased 7.9 percent, year-on-year, and 4.2 percent, month-on-month, to 370,900 mt, according to a report from local steel association, Camara Argentina del Acero (CAA).
CAA said hot rolled finished steel production in the first month of the year was 302,400 mt, 20.3 percent down, year-on-year, but 6.6 percent up, on a month-on-month basis.
According to CAA, local cold rolled flat steel production in January dropped 38.9 percent, year-on-year, and 11.7 percent, month-on-month, to 79,200 mt.
