Argentinian crude steel output increases in November

Argentinian crude steel output in November rose 9.3 percent, year-over-year, and 2.3 percent, month-over-month, to 390,800 mt, local steel association, Camara Argentina del Acero (CAA), said on Thursday.

Argentinian hot rolled finished steel output in November grew 16.8 percent, year-over-year, but dropped 0.1 percent, month-over-month, to 392,000 mt. Cold rolled flat steel output in November reached 136,400 mt, 36.8 percent up, year-over-year, but 3 percent down, month-over-month.

As for the accumulated period of January to November, Argentinian crude steel production declined 24.4 percent, year-over-year, to 3.26 million mt. Hot rolled finished steel output in the January-November period totaled 3.06 million mt, 22.7 percent down, year-over-year. Cold rolled flat steel production in the 11-month period rose 0.8 percent, year-over-year, to 1.06 million mt.
