Argentina’s Steel Chamber (CAA) said this week the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has invited the trade group to join OECD’s next steel committee.

CAA used to join the OECD panel, but left the group in September 2014. The OECD panel seeks, among other things, to solve the issue of the steel glut.

Argentina’s participation in the OECD panel will allow the discussion group to have a better understanding of the issues affecting the steel industry in South America, and will also complement the views of Brazil and Mexico.
