In the January-August period of the current year, the crude steel production of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, Ukrainian subsidiary of global steel giant ArcelorMittal, totaled 3.637 million mt, down 10 percent year on year. In addition, in the first eight months of the year, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih registered an 11 percent decrease year on year in its finished steel output to 3.139 million mt.
During the period in question, coke production at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih decreased by four percent to 1.715 million mt, while its iron ore concentrate output increased by six percent to 6.163 million mt, both on year-on-year basis.
