ArcelorMittal Europe launches low-carbon steel pipe

ArcelorMittal Europe, a subsidiary of Luxembourg-based steelmaker ArcelorMittal, has announced that it has launched a new low-carbon steel pipe, in line with its decarbonization targets.

The new product made from recycled and renewably manufactured XCarb® steel has up to 75 percent less carbon emissions, one of the highest carbon reduction rates in the steel tube industry.

The company is now able to offer the first low-carbon hollow sections, produced using a high percentage of scrap and 100 percent renewable electricity.
