ArcelorMittal Bremen GmbH has announced that it is to modernize the primary dust-collecting system of its plant and prepare the system for retrofitting with a converter-gas recovery system. Thus, diffused dust emissions will be substantially reduced.

ArcelorMittal Bremen has chosen German company SMS Demag AG as the main supplier for the modernization.

The Bremen plant has an annual crude steel production capacity of around four million mt.
