Anshan Steel ranks 56th among Chinese Top 500

According to the new list of the Chinese Top 500 companies based on their revenues for 2010, Liaoning Province-based Chinese steelmaker Anshan Iron and Steel Co (Anshan Steel) ranks 56th . Meanwhile, China Petrochemical Corporation (SINOPEC) continues to rank first.
 
In the last sixty years, Anshan Steel has produced a total of 381 million mt of crude steel, 277 million mt of finished steel and 375 million mt of pig iron. In the same period, Anshan Steel has contributed a total of RMB 124.5 billion in taxes, about 23 times the aggregate investments it has received from government sources.
