The Mexican Association of Automotive Distributors (AMDA), which comprises thousands of new vehicle distributors in the country, predicted an annual vehicle sales increase of 25.6 percent in 2023, to reach a volume of 1.38 million units.

In a press conference, the AMDA Economic Studies Coordinator, Cristina Vázquez Ruiz, said that for October they estimate sales of 121,188 units, 30.9 percent more than the sales volume of the same month last year.

The AMDA also released its first sales forecast for 2024, which it said will be adjusted in January 2024. For next year, the sales of 1.48 million units was forecast, which would be 7.5 percent more than the sales estimate for all of 2023.
