Altai-Koks completes scheduled repairs of three coke ovens

The Russian coke producer Altai-Koks - a subsidiary of Russian steelmaker NLMK - has announced the completion of the scheduled repair works at its coke ovens No.1, No.2 and No.3.

As a result of the maintenance works, Altai-Koks will be able to improve the quality of coke produced at these three ovens and also reduce emissions into the atmosphere by 44 mt a year. In addition, the maintenance works have increased the lifespan of the ovens in question.

The investment in this project totaled Ruble 56 million ($2.4 million).
