Altai-Koks completes coke oven batteries overhaul

The Russian coke producer Altai-Koks, a subsidiary of Russian steelmaker NLMK, has completed the overhaul at its coke oven batteries No. 2 and No. 4, which included the full replacement of their refractory linings.

The overhaul has allowed Altai-Koks to restore the units' efficiency, to ensure the high quality of the coke produced, and to maintain environmental standards.

The overhaul in question was carried out at a total cost of Ruble 40 million ($1.205 million).
