Order activity and inquiries within the US import line pipe market have been quiet this week; this is largely due to the Nov. 24 Thanksgiving holiday.  Most of the nations’ elementary and high schools were closed this week and as such, many Americans took the week off.

As such, prices for import API-X42 ERW line pipe pricing in the US domestic market have remained stable.

The most commonly heard offer price for import API-X42 ERW line pipe pricing in the US domestic market from Korea is continues to hold at $30-$31 cwt. ($661-$683/mt or $600-$620/nt), DDP loaded truck in US Gulf coast ports.  Some buyers, however, continue to report hearing prices that are $1.00 cwt. ($22/mt or $20/nt) above this range; the higher prices are attributed to upticks in global raw materials costs.
