Turkish welded pipe export prices remain unchanged

Over the past week, Turkish producers’ offer range for ERW pipes and hollow sections with 2-4 mm wall thickness made from hot rolled coil (HRC) of S235 grade as per EN 10219 to the export markets has remained unchanged at $600-640/mt FOB. However, according to market sources, buyers continue to consider prices of $630/mt and above to be on the high side, and so deals have mostly been concluded at the lower end of this price range.

Since no significant recovery is expected in demand for welded pipe in Turkish exporters’ target markets, ex-Turkey welded pipe quotations will likely trend in line with the hot rolled coil prices.
