Over the past week, ex-Turkey welded pipe prices have remained unchanged as no change has been observed in hot rolled coil (HRC) prices. Accordingly, Turkish producers’ offer range for ERW pipes and hollow sections with 2-4 mm wall thickness made from HRC of S235 grade as per EN 10219 has remained stable at $580-600/mt FOB. However, according to market sources, Turkish welded pipe producers are willing to reduce their prices slightly from the lower end of this price range for bookings of large tonnages.

The European Commission has indicated its intention to terminate the antidumping duty investigation on hollow section imports from Turkey, Macedonia and Russia. Since no official announcement has yet been made, buyers are making price inquiries for the new quota period starting in July, though they are still cautious about making bookings. Meanwhile, demand for Turkish welded pipe in the Middle East has decreased over the past week and is at low levels due to Ramadan and the approach of the summer season.
