No significant change has been observed in Turkey’s welded pipe export prices over the past week as demand has remained stable. Turkish producers’ offer range for ERW pipes and hollow sections with 2-4 mm wall thickness made from hot rolled coil (HRC) of S235 grade as per EN 10219 to the export markets has remained unchanged at $600-640/mt FOB.

Although SteelOrbis has been informed Turkish suppliers have concluded welded pipe export sales in the past week, market sources report that no significant rise in sales has been observed compared to the previous week. Turkish exporters are worried that the European Union’s quotas on welded pipe imports may be filled up. As a result, it is difficult for Turkish exporters to make plans for the future, but they are trying to rush sales to Europe, aiming to accelerate orders before the quota in question is filled completely.

If no major rise in demand is observed in the coming weeks, Turkish welded pipe export prices are expected to move in line with hot rolled coil (HRC) quotations.
