Turkish welded pipe export offers remain unchanged

Due to the weakness of demand over the past week, Turkish welded pipe producers’ export prices have remained unchanged week on week. Turkish producers’ offer range for ERW pipes and hollow sections with 2-4 mm wall thickness made from HRC of S235 grade as per EN 10219 is still at $580-600/mt FOB. Additionally, SteelOrbis has heard that Turkish mills are accepting buyers’ firm bids lower than $580/mt FOB for large volumes.

Having kept their export welded pipe offers stable for now, Turkish producers are expected to gradually increase their offers after the end-of-Ramadan holiday due to higher raw material costs.

On the other hand, demand for Turkish welded pipe received from the Middle Eastern countries has slowed down due to approach of the holiday, while European buyers are making price inquiries for Turkish welded pipe for the new quota to be released in July, resulting in new sales for June shipments.
