Activity in the Spanish seamless pipe market remains quiet, and prices for locally produced material have remained almost unchanged against a backdrop of scarce buying. Import quotations of seamless pipes from Italy have also stayed at previous levels. Meanwhile, import prices of Ukrainian seamless pipes for Spain have decreased by €35-50/mt ($39-56/mt) in the past month, while offers of Chinese seamless pipes have gone down by a maximum of €10/mt ($11.2/mt) amid poor demand. Market players state that weak demand from both Spanish and foreign consumers is related to the summer season in Europe and Ramadan in Middle Eastern countries, and so buying activity is unlikely to revive in the coming short-term period.

Current Spanish domestic prices for 2"-4" hot-formed seamless pipes, grade B made to ASTM A106, are at around €980-1,020/mt ($1,098-1,142/mt) ex-works.

Current export prices of Spanish seamless pipes, 2"-4" grade B according to ASTM A106, are varying at around €1,000-1,050/mt ($1,120-1,176/mt) FOB.

Prices for Chinese seamless pipes, 2"-6" grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L, are at about €620-670/mt ($694-750/mt) CFR Spain, exclusive of antidumping duties (in the range of 17.7-39.2 percent depending on the producer).

Offers of Ukrainian seamless pipes, 2"-6" grade B according to API 5L, are being given to Spain at €785-800/mt ($879-896/mt) CPT. Prices are shown exclusive of 13.8 percent antidumping duty.

Quotations of Italian seamless pipes, 2"-6" grade B made to ASTM A106, to Spain are at €1,050-1,100/mt ($1,176-1,232/mt) CPT.
