Over the past week, demand in the local European welded pipe market has remained slack as buyers have continued to make bookings for small tonnages in order to meet their immediate needs. According to market sources, some European welded pipe producers, who did not revise their prices downward last week, have decreased their prices by €10/mt this week. Demand for domestic welded pipe in Europe is unlikely to recover in the coming weeks amid the lack of any important improvement which may positively impact market sentiment.
A Bulgarian steel producer’s offers for ERW pipes as per EN 10219 for its domestic market have decreased by €10/mt week on week to €565-575/mt ($638-650/mt) ex-works. The Bulgarian welded pipe producer’s European market quotations to Germany are now at €615-645/meter ($695-739/meter) CPT, to Hungary are at €595-605/meter ($672-684/meter) CPT, to Austria are at €605-615/meter ($684-695/meter) CPT, and to Belgium and the Netherlands are at €635-650/meter ($718-735/meter) CPT, while its offers to the Czech Republic, Poland, Croatia and Slovakia are standing at €605-625/mt ($684-706/mt) CPT, and its offers to Slovenia are at €605-615/mt ($684-695/mt) CPT.
