Even though the outlook for the hot rolled coil (HRC) and scrap segments has remained bleak, Turkish pipe producers have decided to continue giving the same offers as in previous weeks.

Unfortunately, the upcoming Eid holiday and elections, together with other negative factors, make the market's future unclear and pessimistic. As a result, many pipe producers are aware that the current prices will not last very long and will eventually decrease, and so they do not hesitate to provide discounts to existing buyers.

Currently, domestic workable hollow section prices have stayed the same as two weeks ago at around $900-950/mt ex-works. Meanwhile, according to sources, bigger pipe suppliers have offered at around $850/mt ex-works.

Likewise, there has been no movement in the export segment and so pipe suppliers have maintained their previous week's export prices of $930-950/mt FOB.
