Local Chinese steel pipe prices have mostly indicated a slight softening in the past week, though with some prices moving sideways.

Chinese domestic seamless pipe prices have mostly followed a stable trend in the past seven days, though with prices of some products declining slightly. Overall trading activity has been weak, with demand remaining sluggish, while upstream raw material prices have softened. However, low market inventory has provided some support for seamless pipe prices. As for the week ahead, it is believed that local seamless pipe prices may move down by a small margin.

Chinese domestic welded pipe market prices have mostly declined slightly during the past week. Overall trading activity has been weak. Upstream raw material prices have softened, which is the main reason for the slight drop in welded pipe prices. As for the week ahead, since demand may increase before the long national holiday, it is believed that welded pipe prices may resume a mainly stable trend.
