The local Chinese steel pipe prices have moved down slightly during the past week.
Chinese seamless pipe prices have moved down by a small margin during the past seven days, influenced also by lower billet prices. Overall trading activity has been weak especially give the coronavirus restriction measures in many parts of the country. Supply is at normal levels, while inventories have increased due to slack demand. As for the week ahead, it is believed that seamless pipe prices may continue to soften.
Chinese welded pipe prices have indicated a slight downtrend during the past week amid softer upstream costs. Demand is still weak due to coronavirus measures and transportation issues. As for the week ahead, it is believed that welded pipe prices may again decline slightly.
