Local Chinese steel pipe prices have showed a downward trend during the past week.

Chinese seamless pipe prices have softened slightly during the past week amid declines in prices of billet and other raw materials. Demand is still negatively impacted by Covid restriction measures. As for the week ahead, it is believed that seamless pipe prices may continue to indicate minor decreases.

Chinese domestic welded pipe prices have moved down during the past week. Overall trading activity has improved slightly but remains weak, still impacted by Covid restriction measures, while inventories have been low. Traders have mostly been reducing prices in order to close more deals. As for the week ahead, it is believed that welded pipe prices may move down.
