Demand in the UAE market for seamless pipes is sluggish in view of the sufficient stocks in the country, the approaching winter season and the global downward trend. Over the past month, Chinese suppliers have reduced their seamless pipe prices for the UAE by $50-70/mt. In the same period, offers of Ukrainian pipes have moved down by $100/mt, while seamless pipe prices from Russian producers have decreased by a maximum of $10/mt. Meanwhile, seamless pipe prices from Romania have decreased by $50/mt over the period in question. The downward price trend is forecast to persist as no essential demand growth is expected by the end of the year.

Offers of Chinese seamless pipes of 2"-8" grade B made to ASTM are being given to the local UAE market at $900-980/mt CFR.

Quotations of Ukrainian (Interpipe) seamless pipes, 2"-8" grade B made to ASTM, are at $1,050-1,100/mt CFR for December-January production. Offers of similar seamless pipes with 2"-8" diameter from Russia are being given to the UAE at around $1,100-1,150/mt CFR for December-January production.

Seamless pipes from Romania (ArcelorMittal) of 3"-10" grade B made to ASTM are quoted at about $1,500-1,550/mt CFR Dubai.

Offers of seamless pipes from Italy, 6"-8" grade B made to ASTM from Tenaris, are being given to the UAE at $1,870-1,940/mt CFR.

Quotations of seamless pipes from France and Germany (V&M) for 18"-24" grade B made to ASTM, are at about $3,280-3,340/mt CFR, while 3/4" pipes are at $2,300-2,320/mt CFR.
