Buying activity in the German seamless pipe market has been declining in line with seasonal factors. German producers have kept their seamless pipe prices in euro terms at the same levels as one month ago, but due to currency fluctuations their prices in dollar terms have decreased by $26-27/mt. In the import segment, prices for seamless pipes from foreign suppliers have continued to soften. In the past month, import prices of Chinese seamless pipes have moved down by around €20-25/mt, while offers of Ukrainian pipes have declined by a maximum of €5/mt over the same period. Quotations of Romanian material have gone down by €20-40/mt. Market players believe the seamless pipe market in Germany may continue to see slow activity in the coming month amid the usual summer lull.

German 2"-6" seamless pipes of grade S355 made to EN 10210 are being offered to local buyers at around €880-900/mt ($968-990/mt) delivered.

Export quotations of German 2"-4" seamless pipes of grade B as per ASTM A106 are in the range of €870-880/mt ($957-968/mt) FCA on theoretical weight basis.

Prices for Chinese seamless pipes, 2"-6" grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L, are at about €515-560/mt ($567-616/mt) CFR Germany, exclusive of antidumping duties.

Offers of Ukrainian 2"-6" seamless pipes made to ASTM A106 of steel grade B are in the range of €770-795/mt ($847-875/mt) CPT, exclusive of antidumping duties.

Romanian 4"-6" seamless pipes made to ASTM A106 of steel grade B are being offered to the German market at about €910-940/mt ($1,001-1,034/mt) CPT.
