The Spanish seamless pipe market has remained sluggish over the past month, depressed by dull demand in both domestic and foreign markets because of slow consumer activity. Nevertheless, domestic and export quotations of Spanish seamless pipes have remained unchanged over the past month. Most foreign suppliers have not revised their offers for the Spanish market either, while only offers of Italian materials have decreased by €30-50/mt ($46-72/mt) over the period in question. Given the current poor demand and the summer slowdown, demand in the Spanish seamless pipe market will likely remain poor during July.
Current Spanish domestic prices for 2"-4" hot-formed seamless pipes, grade B made to ASTM A106, are at around €920-950/mt ($1,251-1,292/mt) ex-works.
