Weak buying activity is still observed in the seamless pipe market in Spain. However, local seamless pipe suppliers have been resisting reductions in their prices and have left their domestic and export offers mostly unchanged over the past month. At the same time, import offers of seamless pipes from China have decreased by €10-20/mt ($5-19/mt) over the same period. Import quotations of seamless pipes from Ukraine have moved down by a maximum of €10/mt ($4/mt) over the period under review, while offers of Italian materials have remained stable. Most market players expect the seamless pipe market in Spain to be stable in the coming period as the current weak demand is unable to provide support for any significant price increase.
Current Spanish domestic prices for 2"-4" hot-formed seamless pipes, grade B made to ASTM A106, are at around €900-970/mt ($1,244-1,341/mt) ex-works.
