At present, export offers for welded pipe given by Chinese suppliers are in the range of $630-670/mt FOB, while export offers for API 5L seamless pipe given by Chinese suppliers are at $670-760/mt FOB, April shipment, moving sideways week on week.

During the given week, steel pipe prices have moved sideways as most market players have left the market for the Chinese New Year holiday. Ferrous metal futures prices have moved up amid the optimistic sentiment for the market prospects after the long holiday.
Rebar futures prices at Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) stand at RMB 4,404/mt ($645.6/mt) on February 10, up RMB 229/mt ($36/mt) or 5.5 percent from February 3.
