During the given week, buyers in the local steel pipe market have made purchases just in line with their needs, while sellers have wanted to bolster their prices amid the high levels of raw material prices. The production curbs in Tangshan have pushed semi-finished steel prices up further, providing a certain degree of support for steel pipe prices.

Rebar futures prices at Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) stand at RMB 4,816/mt ($739/mt) on March 24, up RMB 31/mt ($4.75/mt) or 0.65 percent from March 17.
