During the week ending February 13, average Chinese steel pipe export offer prices have moved on a stable trend. At present, export offers for API 5L seamless pipe given by Chinese suppliers are in the range of $620-710/mt FOB, while export offers for API 5L welded pipe given by Chinese suppliers are at $520-550/mt FOB.

Following the long Chinese New Year holiday, due to the big rises seen in import iron ore prices, billet prices in China have increased, which will provide support for steel pipe prices. However, steel pipe export prices have so far moved sideways as most market players have still not returned from the holiday. It is thought that steel pipe export prices from China will move up in the coming week.
