Demand for seamless pipes remains sluggish in Turkey amid slow end-user activity. Most buyers of seamless pipes in the country have preferred to follow a wait-and-see policy and to hold back from buying against the background of the weakening of the Turkish lira against the US dollar. Prices of Ukrainian seamless pipes for the Turkish market have decreased by $10-30/mt over the past month, while prices of Russian seamless pipes have moved down by $30-40/mt over the period under review. Romanian and Chinese seamless pipe prices for Turkey have mostly remained unchanged. Market participants do not foresee significant price growth in the coming period as the market situation remains unstable.
