For the second consecutive month, Indian state-run company MOIL Limited (formerly Manganese Ore India Limited) has raised prices of all grades of manganese, increasing them by five percent with effect from February 1, according to a regulatory filing by the company.
“The prices of all grades of ferro, manganese ore (Mn content 30 percent, Mn content 25 percent), manganese fines and chemical grades have been increased by five percent with effect from February 1, 2021,” the company said in its filing.
In early January this year, the manganese miner had increased its prices by 10 percent for Mn content 37 percent and above and 15 percent in case of ores with Mn content less than 37 percent. Prices for chemical grade manganese were increased in January by 10 percent.
MOIL accounts for about 50 percent of total Indian domestic supplies of the ore.
