India’s domestic ferrochrome prices trend up

On August 28, SteelOrbis reported Indian domestic ferrochrome (HC 60 percent) prices at INR 65,000-65,500/mt ($905-912/mt) ex-works.

Sources now inform SteelOrbis that prices are trending at INR 66,800-67,200/mt ($934-939/mt) ex-works. Prices increased $29/mt from the bottom of the previous range and $27/mt from the top of the previous range. Sources inform SteelOrbis of tight supplies due to a tight supply of chrome ore.
