Today, April 11, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have fallen by TRY 200-300/mt ($6-13/mt) compared to Thursday, April 7, against the backdrop of currency fluctuations and slow trading activity. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 15,800-16,200/mt or $913-936/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Most mills in the Izmir and Marmara regions are offering rebar at $960-965/mt ex-works, including Icdas A.S.
On the demand side, some local traders are giving aggressive prices to generate sales, while other local traders are taking their time before restocking as they wait for the Turkish central bank’s interest rate decision due on Thursday, April 14.
