Gerdau follows Nucor with $10/nt rebar price bump

Tuesday, 24 December 2013 19:40:29 (GMT+3)   |   San Diego

Gerdau Long Steel North America sent a letter to customers Monday indicating that it will increase transaction prices for rebar by $10/nt ($0.50 cwt. or $11/mt), effective with all new orders (although orders confirmed by the December 20 will be price protected if shipped before January 13).

The move follows Nucor’s own $10/nt price increase last week.
