On June 16, Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel Co. (WISCO) issued its steel sales prices for July shipment. The details are as follows (all comparisons being with June prices):
1. Hot rolled pickled products
Prices of SAPH, QstE and RST series are down by RMB 100/mt ($16/mt), while prices of other hot rolled pickled products are down by RMB 50/mt ($8/mt).
2. Cold rolled coil/sheet (CRC/CRS)
Prices of cold rolled products are unchanged. Accordingly, the price of 1.0 mm Q195 cold rolled sheet still stands at RMB 4,050/mt ($658/mt), and the price of 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm x C Q195 cold rolled coil has remained at RMB 4,020/mt ($653/mt).
3. Electro-galvanized products
Prices have remained stable.
4. Hot dip galvanized (HDG) products
Prices are unchanged.
5. Non-grain-oriented (NGO) silicon steel
Prices have remained stable.
6. Prices of hot rolled coil/sheet (HRC/HRS), rolled plate, tinplate and pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) have remained unchanged.
Accordingly, the price of 3.0 mm x 1,250 mm SPHC HRC still stands at RMB 3,390/mt ($551/mt), the price of 2.75 mm x 1,250 mm Q235 HRC has remained at RMB 3,410/mt ($554/mt), 5.5 mm x 1,500 mm Q235 HRC still costs RMB 3,370/mt ($547/mt), 14-40 mm Q235 medium plate is priced at RMB 3,600/mt ($585/mt), while the price of 14-40 mm Q345 medium plate still stands at RMB 3,710/mt ($603/mt).
7. Grain-oriented (GO) silicon steel
Prices of 23RK080, 23RK085, 23QG085, 27RK085, 27RK090 and 27QG090 grades have increased by RMB 300/mt ($49/mt), while prices of other grain-oriented silicon steel have remained stable.
All prices are ex-works, excluding 17 percent VAT, and are effectively immediately.
