Russian steel producer Severstal has increased its flat steel offers to Turkey for its January production as compared to the latest transaction levels in the past month. Accordingly, the mill's hot rolled coil (HRC) offers have increased by $30-40/mt, while its prices for cold rolled coil (CRC) of 0.51 mm and above thickness have moved up by $5/mt.
While last month the producer had not given any offers for CRC thinner than 0.51 mm (a material used in automotive and white goods) and for plate, this month Severstal has given offers for these products. Accordingly, its offers for CRC thinner than 0.51 mm have remained stable as compared to the transaction levels for November rolling products, while its plate offers have registered an increase of $45-50/mt.
