Brazilian slab exporters remain negotiating deals in average at $510/mt, FOB conditions for basic commercial grades, a reference stable over the last three weeks.

According to sources, although stable, research among exporters has found a variation range of $500/mt to $520/mt, reflecting uncertainties about the effective import tariff in the US, which ultimately affects negotiations for other destinations as well.

Preliminary indications for May point to a volume of slabs exports from Brazil in line with the 429,600 mt exported in April.

HRC prices in the US market remain affecting pricing of Brazilian slab export agreements to all countries.
