The reference export price for Brazilian slabs is $485/mt, stable over the last three weeks, FOB conditions for basic commercial grades, and remaining at a higher level since July 2025.

According to preliminary numbers by SECEX, the Brazilian slabs exports in December are expected to remain in line with the 641,500 mt exported in November

With one export finalized in the first week of December at an average price of $496/mt, FOB conditions but including quality premiums, market participants anticipate slight price increases. These expectations are further supported by ongoing Brazil-US negotiations, now with the participation of Brazilian entrepreneurs.
