The reference price of hot dipped galvanized products (HDG), for export from Brazil to South American countries is $890/mt today against $920/mt four weeks, CFR conditions, having the G40 grade and 4.75 mm thickness product as reference.
In December, Brazil exported 23,600 mt and imported 30,400 mt of HDG against 11,600 mt and 25,900 mt in November.
The exports of December were destined to the US (14,800 mt at $885/mt) and to Argentina (8,800 mt at $1,253/mt) shipped by Usiminas (18,330 mt at $1,047/mt) and ArcelorMittal (5,200 mt at $935/mt), all FOB conditions.
The imports were from Asia (28,900 mt, of which 27,800 mt at $665/mt from China) and Europe (1,500 mt at $1,021/mt), also FOB conditions.
In the Brazilian domestic market, HDG is currently sold by producers, in medium to large volumes, to end users or distributors, at BRL 6,500/mt ($1,074/mt) against BRL 6,700/mt four weeks ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI.
