The reference price of hot dipped galvanized products, for export from Brazil to South American countries, is $840 per metric ton (mt), stable for the past eight weeks, CFR conditions, having the G-40 grade and 4.75 mm thickness product as reference.
In January, 2026, Brazil exported 37,500 mt and imported 24,900 mt of HDG, against respectively 5,100 mt and 19,800 mt in December, according to SECEX.
The January exports were destined for the US (30,900 mt at $902/mt) and South American countries (6,600 mt at $1,418/mt), shipped by CSN (30,900 mt), Usiminas (6,500 mt) and ArcelorMittal (100 mt).
The imports came from Asia (22,900 mt, of which 13,600 mt at $630/mt from China), Europe (1,300 mt at $1,001/mt), and Egypt (700 mt at $819/mt), also FOB conditions.
In the Brazilian domestic market, HDG is currently sold by producers, in medium to large volumes, to end users or distributors, at BRL 6,300/mt ($1,207/mt), stable from four weeks ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI.
