The reference price of hot dipped galvanized products, for export from Brazil to South American countries, is $840/mt today, against $850/mt four weeks ago, CFR conditions, having the G40 grade and 4.75 mm thickness product as reference.
In November, Brazil exported 30,700 mt of HDG while imported 29,100 mt of the product, against respectively 16,700 mt and 27,600 mt in October, according to SECEX.
The exports of November were all destined to South America, in average at $1,059/mt, FOB conditions, and shipped by Usiminas (30,600 mt) and ArcelorMittal (100 mt).
The imports came from Asia (28,800 mt, of which 25,100 mt at $600/mt) and Germany (300 mt at $908/mt), also FOB conditions.
In the Brazilian domestic market, HDG is currently sold by producers, in medium to large volumes, to end users or distributors, at BRL 6,000/mt ($1,097/mt), against BRL 5,900/mt mt four weeks ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI.
