The domestic sales prices of traders for local and imported hot and cold rolled flat steel products in the Eregli and Gebze regions of Turkey are as follows:

The above prices are ex-warehouse and for advance payments, exclusive of 18 percent VAT.
Last week in the Eregli region, traders' 2 mm hot rolled coil prices were at $680/mt for advance payment, while this week prices have moved up to the level of $700-710/mt in the region. On the other hand, 1.5 mm thick hot rolled sheet prices have softened by $10/mt as compared to the previous week. Availability of thin gauge cold rolled products from traders is not that wide in the market. Quotations of cold rolled coil (CRC) are currently at $790-810/mt.
SteelOrbis has been informed by market insiders that demand has been slack this week in the local Turkish flat steel market. As March is the last month of the fiscal year, buyers in the local market are not so active at the moment. However, in early April demand levels are expected to rise.
