Demand in the Turkish flat steel market has remained on the weak side, while new price levels for November outputs have started to take shape. Accordingly, hot rolled coil (HRC) and cold rolled coil (CRC) export offers have not changed since last week, while export offers for coated products have indicated a decline, as had been expected over the past three weeks.

Currently, Turkey's HRC export offers are still at $560-570/mt FOB and CRC offers are at $690-700/mt FOB. In the meantime, 0.5 mm HDG coil offers have softened by $10-15/mt to $800-805/mt ex-works, while export offers for pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) are now standing at $900-910/mt ex-works, indicating a decrease of $20-30/mt.

However, while the list prices of HDG and PPGI have declined since last week, firm bids from real buyers are still accepted and discounts of about $10/mt are available.
