Brazilian Galvalume exports are currently negotiated at $1,040/mt, FOB conditions for the AZ-150 product, a reference price stable over the last two weeks, a local exporter told SteelOrbis.

In January, CSN exported 8,700 mt of Galvalume to the US, at $1,102/mt, FOB conditions, while Brazil imported 22,500 mt of Galvalume from China at $787/mt, FOB conditions, with price differences ascribed to varying grades and tonnage levels.

A small tonnage of aluminum-zinc coated products, not produced under the Galvalume-BIEC licensing, was exported in January to South American countries, at prices similar to the original Galvalume, pointing to a trend of convergence of prices among galvanized products.
