A source from a Brazilian producer told SteelOrbis that Galvalume exports are currently negotiated at $1,100/mt, against $1,150/mt over the last five weeks, both FOB conditions. He added that Galvalume exports from Brazil remain of marginal interest, as the focus is with the domestic market.

The reference price for Galvalume in the Brazilian domestic market today is BRL 6,100/mt ($1,635/mt) ex-works, full taxes except IPI, with the AZ-150 grade as reference and sales by distributors in small volumes, a price stable in BRL over the last four weeks. Larger volumes or sales made directly by the producers are usually entitled to substantial reduction of prices.

In October, with price deals probably closed in August, CSN exported 7,500 mt of Galvalume to the US at $1,193/mt, while ArcelorMittal exported 66 mt of the product to Paraguay at $1,191/mt, both FOB conditions.

Meanwhile, Brazil imported in October 16,100 mt of Galvalume from China at $798/mt and 400 mt from Australia at $528/mt, both FOB conditions.
