A major exporter in Brazil told SteelOrbis that his Galvalume export deals are now being closed at $824/mt, FOB conditions—$30/mt more than last week.

The source mentioned that with the indication of lower international prices, the company had reduced its price by the same $30/mt two months ago; the company has now restored the price along with the increasing international prices.

In October, for price deals probably closed in August, CSN exported 3,800 mt of the product to the US at $862/mt, and 350 mt to Uruguay at $793/mt, both FOB conditions.

Pushed by the high domestic prices, Brazil imported in October 11,900 mt of Galvalume and similar coated products at $554/mt, FOB conditions.
