Brazilian Galvalume producers are negotiating exports of the product at $800/mt, FOB conditions for the AZ50 grade as reference, a local exporter told SteelOrbis.

The price compares with $830/mt two weeks ago, the source said, adding that the price reduction reflects additional competition from China, where prices for most steel products are in downward trend.

In March, CSN exported the product at $855/mt to the US and at $835/mt to Argentina, both FOB conditions, with price deals probably closed in January.
