During the week ending January 17, average Chinese export offer prices of hot rolled coil (HRC), hot rolled plate (HRP) and shipbuilding plate have moved down. At present, export offers for boron-added 5.75 mm HRC given by Chinese suppliers are at $475-505/mt FOB, while export offers for 1.0 mm cold rolled coil (CRC) given by Chinese suppliers are in the range of $520-540/mt FOB.
It is thought that flat steel product export prices from China will likely fluctuate within a limited range in the coming week.
